Tadeja & Jesse are a beauty of a couple – inside and out.
Being a Kelowna Wedding Photographer means that I get to meet so many lovely couples. From time to time I get to meet with a couple who I instantly connect with. This was the case with Tadeja and Jesse. Their easy-going, sweet, and trusting personalities made me fall in love with them in our first meeting. That the details weren’t of great concern to them, that they were going to be married at the end of the day – that was most important to them and I LOVE that kind of thinking.
http://www.heatherly.ca/kelowna-wedding-photographer-sanctuary-gardens-tadeja-jesse/Everyone knows that I am a crier (I’m not afraid to admit that), and my tears were a-flowing! I’m also a sucker for daddy-daughter moments and I could not keep it together when seeing the way Tadeja’s father looked at her on her wedding day. So sweet!
Sanctuary Gardens in West Kelowna provided a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony. The two wrote their own unique and loving vows, they planted a tree together that they will be able to watch grow as their relationship does.
It was a perfect, fairytale wedding! These two give so much love to all those around them, please share the love with them!

I also need to give a HUGE shout-out to my second photographer, Kaila Wirth who kicked butt at this wedding!
It’s been far too long since I’ve blogged, but you can expect to see a lot more of that with the official end to wedding season. 🙂
I’m starting off a string of blog posts with one of this season’s most intimate weddings. Cayley & Lee were married at the beautiful Sanctuary Gardens. This is one of my favourite locations in Kelowna. It’s a hidden gem – if you’re looking for an intimate wedding site, look no further!
There were so many things about this wedding that I loved. Cayley’s dress from Ashbury Bridal Couture in Kelowna, how cool Lee was about having his photographs taken, and that they had their Grandmothers sign the marriage license. Their Grandmothers! How adorable is that?!
It wasn’t all unicorns and rainbows though. It was one of the hottest days ever. I mean that. People were melting. Lee was melting. (Cayley was waiting in the glorious air conditioning, lucky gal! ) An accident on the highway held up the father of the bride, some guests, and their marriage commissioner.
Cayley and Lee were so relaxed about it all. It didn’t matter. They knew that regarldess of the heat, they would be married. They knew that eventually, the traffic would clear, everyone would arrive, and they would be married. Every wedding has its’ hiccups. These happenings make great stories to be told years down the road.
We took a few photographs and off they went to their backyard reception! Cayley and Lee – thank you so much for having me take part in your beautiful wedding. It will be a wedding I will remember for years to come!
